We provide tooth-colored veneers to improve the beauty of your smile by completely altering the shape and color of your teeth. Veneers are placed by our dentist, Dr. Parag Kirpekar, over the front surface of the existing tooth. In most cases, veneers are only applied to the visible portion of the tooth. Veneers can be applied in one of two ways:
- Direct technique: Composite resin is placed outside of the tooth. This method is commonly referred to as bonding.
- Indirect technique: This technique requires two appointments at our dental practice because your custom veneers will be created at a dental laboratory. The first appointment will consist of taking impressions, preparing the teeth, and placing a temporary restoration. Two to three weeks later, your temporary restorations will be removed and Dr. Parag Kirpekar will bond the veneers to your teeth. In many cases, these veneers are created using porcelain or pressed aesthetic.
Veneers are often chosen over crowns because they require less tooth removal and involve a more comfortable procedure. We may recommend dental veneers in Parma, Ohio, for patients who have teeth with large fillings or little structure. For more information on veneers or cosmetic dentistry, please call Parag S.
